Real words from real people!
  • I saw Dr Scot for the first time a few weeks ago and he has already helped me quite a bit. I was afraid to have my neck adjusted after having a few bad experiences in the past. He told me what I needed to hear and adjusted everything for me and I've started to feel better already. I've never met a chiropractor that adjusted my ankles, hands fingers before and I love it. My neck and shoulders are finally starting to loosen up thanks to Dr Ladell.
Over the years Dr. Scot has saved my back and posture several times, keeps me functioning. Knowledgeable about causes and effects and best treatment. Does not up-sell treatment, straightforward and honest.
I've seen Ed a few times and he's gone out of his way from emergency relief to staying an extra hour after closing to help me. I travel to okotoks from calgary to see him and he's been treating my family for years, even way back with my grandparents! I recommend him to everyone even if its a small commute his service is great and he really knows his stuff.

Hi there. I’m Kathy. I am one of the regular receptionists at the clinic. I love interacting with patients and getting to know you better. My husband and I are avid campers and enjoy traipsing around the mountains enjoying horse back riding, fishing and all things that nature has to offer. One of my greatest pleasures in life is seeing the world and of course spending time with my family. I also have become very fond of my 7 gold fish that live in my water trough at home. I look forward to meeting you.

Hello, I am Ann. I also work weekdays at the clinic and enjoy seeing our many patients on a regular basis. I take special interest in making sure you are comfortable. I really like living in Okotoks with my family. My husband is a local pastor and we have three terrific kids ranging from young adult to junior high. On days off, I enjoy coffee dates, baking and walking our dog.

Hello, I am Tracy. I work Wednesday’s and Saturday’s at the clinic. I love what I do and have worked with Dr. Scot for 15 years. I enjoy meeting new patients and catching up with regular patients. I live in Calgary but enjoy the drive to Okotoks. I have 3 kids who keep me busy and love family time with them along with new adventures. I enjoy the outdoors and love travelling.

Dr. Scot Ladell, Chiropractor

I am Dr. Scot. As a second generation chiropractor and athlete, it is obvious to me that what happens in one part of the body affects the whole system. That is how I approach you as a patient. I listen to what you say about your pain, health and lifestyle; I observe how you sit, stand, move and don’t move; I feel the tight spots and imbalances in your body, not just where you say you feel pain. I am a hands-on, manual adjuster; because of this, I easily adapt my treatment plan as needed, each time I see you. I’ve been accused of telling it like it is, even when you don’t want to hear it! Yes, that is true. You can expect me to be straight forward and direct.

I graduated from CMCC in Toronto summa cum laude in 1991. I returned to Calgary and practiced at Chinook Chiropractic Clinic for 24 years. I am very excited about being in Okotoks now, where life is a little slower and the parking is more accessible!

I currently live in the south end of Calgary where I enjoy life with my family. I love being outdoors, playing sports, gardening, cooking, building stuff, and appreciating plenty of fine wine.

Dr. Shannon Winslade, Chiropractor

I’m Dr. Shannon. I enjoy continually expanding my knowledge, so participating in post graduate training is a big part of what I do. After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1998, I obtained my Master’s of Applied Science in Nutrition in 2005. I am certified in Active Release Techniques (Spine and Upper Body), Kinesiotaping, CHEK- practitioner level, and Myofacial Release level 1. Currently I am working towards my Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner designation.

I am an avid Ironman athlete, marathon runner and Crossfitter. I am involved with Natural High Fitness and Athletics as a coach with Computrainer and the triathlon group. Because of my own athletic pursuits, I have a strong interest in both the management and the prevention of sports injuries. I love living in Okotoks with my husband and two children.

Dr. Ed Sands, Chiropractor

I follow a fairly conservative philosophy of Chiropractic, focusing on assessment and treatment of spinal and extremity joint dysfunction. I have certification in Active Release Therapy for both the upper and lower extremities, as well as Kinesio Taping. I have had extensive involvement at the local, provincial and national levels, participating in and chairing numerous committees, including the Calgary Chiropractic Society, insurance committees and have functioned as a peer investigator.

Community involvement is very important to me and started with my move to Okotoks in 1985. I have been a part of the Lions Club, functioning as President for a term. As an appointee by the Town of Okotoks, I served on the High River and District Hospital Board for 7 years, including 3 as Chairman of the Board. I am also now serving in my 7th term on the Okotoks Town Council. I continue to live in Okotoks with my wife, Debbie.

Bronwynne Jack, RMT

Hi, I am Bronwynne! I’ve been a massage therapist for 15 years and am very excited to join the team in Okotoks! I have worked in south Calgary for many years and am happy to be adding my energy here.

My goal is to make every session as unique as you are when coming for a treatment. I want you to feel comfortable enough to ask questions and express your treatment needs. Let me know where you hurt, and if I massage too deep – let me know that as well.

I have a 2200 hour massage diploma, an advanced craniosacral therapy certificate, and a myofascial cupping certificate. I enjoy learning new techniques, so I take courses frequently. When time allows, I enjoy swimming, yoga, cooking and hanging out with friends.

Tamara Dyck, RMT

Deena Lee Cottingham, B.Ed. ACC CHN

I’ve joined the team at Okotoks Chiropractic as a Well-being Educator & Coach. I work with people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Whether you are grappling with chronic or recurring illness, or whether you feel a sickness somewhere in your soul, I am here to guide you on the journey from striving and barely surviving to living a fulfilling and thriving life.

Through my own journey of overcoming fibromyalgia, I’ve learned that our bodies talk to us with messages in the form of symptoms. It is my service to compassionately listen to what your body is saying. I know you can feel better than you do, and there’s a valid reason why you don’t. It’s not in your head!

I am certified as a transformational coach, a holistic nutritional consultant, a meditation teacher, and a fitness professional … plus I am an artist and a mother of four young adults … giving me a vast array of knowledge and skills to draw on in support of your whole well-being. Together we visit the wisdom within your body to restore the vitality that is naturally yours. Let’s chat! I am listening.
